Looking for an easy way to volunteer? Want to get outdoors and help foster a greener environment for Green Bay? Come join the New Leaf Food’s Green Bay Welcome Volunteer day. On August 31st at 1:30 to 3:30 we’ll be hosting a cleanup session at the Seymour Park Food Forest. If you’re unfamiliar with the park, the Seymour Park Food Forest provides fresh healthy fruits for us to eat, and lush spaces for pollinators to thrive, so if food security or environmentalism are causes close to your heart then this opportunity is for you. We’ve coordinated with UWGB for to gather a large group of volunteers to help care for the Food Forest however it doesn’t stop there. We’ll be pulling weeds, watering plants, and picking up trash. Everyone and anyone is welcome and you don’t need to be a student to come help out. All you have to do is sign up.
