Wheat and Wellness: Understanding its Nutritional Power

Join us at the Brown County Central Library for a four-part series of educational presentations called “The Whole Wheat Story in Four Courses”.

In this presentation, registered dietician, Michelle Nowak, will explore the nutritional composition of wheat, including its macro content and vitamin/mineral makeup.  We will explore the reasons why including wheat in your regular food choices provides health benefits.  There are many misconceptions about grains, wheat in particular, being a healthy part of your diet, but in this class we will address many of the common concerns, including gluten, blood sugar control and highly processed foods.
